Scott Yarbrough holds English degrees from Florida State University and a PhD in American literature from the University of Alabama.  He has been teaching college English for over 30 years.  He is a co-author of A Practical Introduction to Literary Study, co editor of Carrying the Fire: The Road and the Apocalyptic Tradition, Cormac McCarthy Casebook series, and numerous articles on authors such as Cormac McCarthy, William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, Dashiell Hammett, Richard Russo, and others.  He lives with his wife, 2 daughters, and 2 bad dogs in Mt Pleasant SC, just outside Charleston.
